Features read alouds & activities to engage young readers in a greater understanding & appreciation of local & American history. CELEBRATE PUMPKINFEST AT THE LIBRARY!! Did you know that the first pumpkins grew right here in North America 9,000 years ago? Or that the first jack-o’-lanterns were carved out of turnips? Join us for stories about pumpkins, make 3-D pumpkins out of paper strips and, finally, decorate (and eat!) pumpkin cupcakes!! Geared to ages 4 – 8 but all families are welcome.
