On the first Saturday in June, the City of Cortland Waterworks comes alive with displays, activities, exhibits and games relating to water. The Cortland County Water Festival offers residents a chance to learn about our local water resources in an engaging and interactive way, from 10:00am to 1:00pm. There’s something for everyone, whether young or young at heart – take a horse drawn wagon ride through the waterworks property and learn about local geology and the aquifer, test your water knowledge playing water trivia, or make bubbles with the kids. There are plenty of kid’s games and activities with prizes and give-aways. Get your face painted and take home a balloon – it’s all free and open to the public.
