Family Empowerment Night at the YWCA this Friday

As a parent, it's common to feel overwhelmed and unsure about how to handle conflicts and stress within your family. You may find yourself struggling to communicate with your children in an empowering and compassionate way, which can be frustrating.

But don't worry - the Cortland YWCA has a great resource available this Friday at 5:30 p.m. Join the YWCA and Jen Rafferty, founder of Empowered Educator®, for a workshop aimed at providing parents with the skills and confidence needed to become more effective and compassionate communicators.

Jen is an experienced educator, author, and mother of two who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her workshops. Through her engaging presentations and deep understanding of emotional intelligence, she inspires her audiences to stay connected to their "why" and to parent with greater ease and confidence.

The workshop series will take place on April 28th from 5:30-7:30 pm at YWCA Cortland. Parents will leave with a better understanding of how to interact with their children with greater confidence, ease, and compassion.

Throughout the workshop, you'll learn a range of skills and strategies, including how to increase your self-awareness, navigate conflicts with concrete self-regulation strategies, understand the effects of stress on your body, and use empowering language when communicating with your children.

YWCA Cortland knows how important—and challenging—it is to balance work, family, and other responsibilities. That's why the YWCA is providing dinner from 5:30-6:00 pm and childcare services for children under 5 and supervised activities for children 5-10 and 11 and up.

This is a great opportunity to improve your parenting skills and become a more confident and compassionate parent. Don't miss out! You can reserve your spot by registering here, or you can just show up on Friday at 5:30 at the Cortland YWCA for this great program.
