Fall Fun in Cortland County
With the weather starting to cool down and leaves showing signs of changing color, fall family activities are abundant here in Cortland County! The Great Cortland Pumpkin Fest

Courthouse Park, Cortland
Celebrating its 25th year, the Great Cortland Pumpkin Fest is back with tons of activities for the family to enjoy. Join in on this tradition at the Courthouse Park on Saturday, October 1, and Sunday, October 2. You can shop local vendors for that perfect gift, enjoy fun fall food and beverages, listen to live music, and of course partake in all sorts of great children's activities. Learn more here.
Theresa’s Pumpkin Patch Grand Opening

Anderson’s Farm Market, 5887 State Route 281, Homer
This fall season, bring the family out to Theresa’s Pumpkin Patch at Anderson’s Farm. Opening on October 1, you can pick your own pumpkin and bring the fall festivities home for pumpkin carving and decoration. Admission is free, and the price of the pumpkin is based on the size that you pick. This is a great way to spend some time outside while getting the house into the spirit of the fall season. Trinity Valley Dairy & Country Store, 2847 NY-13, Cortland
For ONE NIGHT ONLY, from 7 - 9 p.m., Trinity Valley is opening up the maze AFTER DARK! Bring your boots & flashlights and wonder through the maze at night. They will be playing "Little Giants" as the movie outdoors as well, so bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and prepare to cozy up with some popcorn in hand! Tickets for the evening will be $12, and part of the proceeds go to SCA Homer Intermediate. Ticket price includes the movie, corn maze, and access to the grounds for the evening. Concessions are available for additional fees. Please be advised that pets, drinking, smoking, etc, are not permitted on the property. This event is weather permitting! It’s Community Appreciation Day! Admission is $3 all day long. Enjoy the maze, a bounce house, and live music! This event is weather permitting! Corn Maze and Event Rules: No smoking, no alcohol, and absolutely no dogs are permitted on the property! No running within the maze, and we recommend wearing closed-toe shoes. Pun’Kin Palloosa with Hallows & Haunts Festival
October 15
Anderson’s Farm Market, 5887 State Route 281, Homer
Anderson’s Farm Market is continuing the fun this spooky season with their Pun’Kin Palloosa! You and your children can enjoy free admission to the pumpkin patch, trick or treating fun, a costume contest, bobbing for pumpkins, apple bowling, and many more yard games for both kids and adults.You will also have the opportunity to check out over 30 craft vendors for something fun to take home after a great day at the Palloosa. Haunted Hayrides are back at Cortland Water Works on Oct. 21 & Oct. 22 from 6 - 9 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and children 5 and under are FREE. Proceeds benefit Jr. Crush Baseball and the CHS Student Council

A Heroes and Villains Halloween

Stop by from 12 - 5 p.m. to join in some spooky Halloween fun! Get in costume and come see special artists and writers! Get your picture taken, play some games, get some goodies, and more!
Downtown Cortland Trunk or Treat
October 29
Court Street, Cortland
The Cortland Youth Bureau and the City Fire Department are teaming up to offer this year’s Trunk or Treat event! Head over to Court Street on October 29 from 2 - 4 p.m. with your costumes to enjoy some family friendly fun with the Cortland community. Enjoy time with your family and your neighbors in this exciting trick-or-treat style event. Learn more here.
Looking for more to do? Don’t forget about some of the great ways to enjoy the cooling temperatures. Consider enjoying the foliage at Lime Hollow Nature Center or take a little trip just outside of Cortland County to all of the apple orchards in Lafayette, like the nationally recognized Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards.
