We often talk about how important parents are as the child’s first teacher. And today, we’re going to share some resources that hopefully make that super important job just a little bit easier. The best part? It’s all free and can be done from the comfort of home!

Cortland County Coloring Sheets - Take advantage of fun coloring and activity sheets that are centered on local sights from around Cortland County. Spend some time with your child coloring Lime Hollow or the Cortland Free Library, or search for words in the word find.
Games to Support Early Literacy - The Rhode Island Department of Education put out this great guidebook that dives into all sorts of fun games to play around the house. Each game has educational components designed to help your little reader thrive!
Talking is Teaching Indoor Activities Toolkit - Our friends at Talking is Teaching published a toolkit that gets into all sorts of fun ways to talk, read, and sing with your little ones.'
Reading Buddies - The Reading League, an awesome non-profit that helps promote the science of reading, has an amazing show called Reading Buddies that you and your little one can catch on Youtube. This show is sure to captivate your child with all sorts of important lessons to provide the foundations of reading.
