Celebrate Library Lover's Month in Cortland County!

It’s Library Lover’s Month, and that means it’s the perfect time to check out what our local libraries have to offer! Whether you’re looking for books, materials, or fun family activities, there are lots of great things happening at our county libraries this month. Read on to find out more about all the amazing ways you can celebrate Library Lover’s Month with your family.

Borrow Books and Materials

One of the best things about libraries is that they provide an abundance of books available for borrowing. If you need a new book to read to your kiddos or you’re looking for something for yourself, take advantage of this great resource! You can also borrow movies, music, and so much more. You may even discover something new that you hadn't considered before!

Get a Library Card

If you don’t already have one, now is a great time to get a library card for yourself and your family. With your library card, you can access tons of free resources such as eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers.

Explore Free Programs

Our county libraries offer tons of free programs each month. Check out story hours like the ones happening this upcoming week at the Southworth Library, Peck Memorial Library, and Cortland Free Library. Or join in a family fun night, like the one at Lamont Memorial Free Library in McGraw this Thursday at 6 p.m. Not only are these programs educational, but they are also fun activities that will help create lasting memories with your kids. Libraries can also offer free art and craft classes among other educational events, like lectures and book clubs—so be sure to check them out!

Now more than ever is the perfect time to visit one (or all) of our local libraries during Library Lover's Month. From borrowing books and materials to getting library cards for your family or attending free programs like story hours or family fun nights—there are so many exciting ways to enjoy our county libraries this month.
